In an exciting development for the local screen industry, Screen Canberra is thrilled to announce the appointment of Vicki Williams FCA GAICD to its Board.
Vicki is a distinguished Adjunct Professor at the University of Canberra. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Screen Canberra, having excelled in leadership roles across various sectors for over 30 years. Her background spans higher education, health, media, professional services, and government, making her an asset to our organisation.
Vicki’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Screen Canberra as we continue to drive the growth and development of the ACT’s screen industry. Her proven track record in strategic leadership, financial management, and governance aligns perfectly with our mission to support the screen industry through collaboration, training, education, and funding.
As a seasoned executive, Vicki has demonstrated a remarkable capacity for fostering growth and innovation. Her involvement in governance since 2005 has seen her take on key roles with industry bodies such as the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Divisional Council (ACT) and as Chair of the Board at Campus Plus Pty Ltd, an innovative start-up promoting connections between universities and industry. Moreover, her leadership at Radford College and participation in the Canberra Business School Advisory Board exemplify her commitment to community and education.
Vicki’s extensive governance portfolio, underscored by her previous roles with the South Care Rescue Helicopter Trust and Northside Community Service Ltd, highlights her dedication to serving the community. Her expertise in financial management and strategic development will help guide our organisation towards achieving its goals of fostering a strong and diverse creative industry.
