Screen Canberra is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment at the +SCREEN STORIES SYMPOSIUM. We ask all participants to help foster a positive experience for everyone by abiding by this Code of Conduct.
Respect and Inclusion
- Treat all individuals with respect, kindness, and empathy.
- Embrace diversity and promote inclusivity.
- Discrimination, harassment, or exclusion based on gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, race, religion, or other protected categories is strictly prohibited.
Harassment-Free Environment
- Unwelcome or hostile behaviour, including verbal, physical, or visual harassment, will not be tolerated.
- Unwanted advances, demeaning comments, or derogatory language have no place at the symposium.
Professional Conduct
- Act with professionalism and integrity in all symposium activities, whether networking, discussing topics on panels, or engaging in social gatherings.
- Respect speakers, organisers, and fellow participants by allowing presentations to proceed without disruption.
Respect Privacy
- Avoid disclosing personal information about others without their consent.
- Photography, recording, or sharing of content without permission is prohibited.
Constructive Participation
- Engage thoughtfully and constructively in discussions and activities.
- Foster a collaborative atmosphere where differing opinions and perspectives are welcomed and respectfully debated.
Reporting Concerns
- If you witness or experience behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to a symposium staff member or Screen Canberra representative. Your concerns will be handled discreetly and with respect.
By attending the +SCREEN STORIES SYMPOSIUM, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
Failure to comply may result in removal from the event at the discretion of Screen Canberra.
