Canberra Screen and Games Fund 2027 Funding Rounds

Screen Canberra, in partnership with the ACT Government, can now announce the 2027 schedule for the Canberra Screen and Games Fund. Following strong engagement from the local creative sector, the fund returns with two distinct, highly competitive rounds in 2027 to provide structured support for the region’s growing screen, digital gaming, and online content industries.

Across the two rounds, $1.1 million will go towards the screen and games sector.

The fund will continue to support projects across three main areas:

  • Games Development and Production: For digital game studios and indie developers, covering prototyping through to full production.
  • TV and Film Production: For scripted and unscripted screen projects destined for cinema, broadcast, or streaming platforms.
  • Direct to Audience Production: For independent creators producing high-impact content specifically for online and digital platforms.

Round 2
The first round of up to $700,000 opens January 2027, with funds available to successful applicants from 1 July 2027.

Round 3
A second round later in the year will offer up to $400,000, giving creators another chance to apply in 2027 with funding being dispersed in January 2028.
