The Canberra Screen and Games Fund is an ACT Government Program delivered in partnership with Screen Canberra.

This new initiative has been established to support the creative industry within the ACT and to help grow the local Screen and Digital Games Industry.

Whether you’re producing a feature film, a television series, an independently released digital project, or an original game, there are a range of funding pathways available to support local talent and creative businesses in the ACT.

This fund builds on previous screen programs and reflects the ACT Government’s commitment to supporting the evolving ways audiences discover, play and engage with content. As with the previous fund, support is awarded through a competitive assessment process.

What the Fund Supports

The Canberra Screen and Games Fund invests in projects that:

  • Create economic benefit for the ACT
  • Employ ACT based creatives, cast, crew or studio teams
  • Strengthen local capability and industry sustainability
  • Reflect inclusive, diverse and authentic storytelling
  • Demonstrate a clear pathway to audiences
  • Meet our Terms of Trade and program specific eligibility criteria

The fund includes three dedicated programs depending on the type of project you are producing.

Screen Canberra is committed to supporting a diverse and inclusive screen and games industry. We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, multicultural communities including migrants and refugees, people who identify as living with a Disability, people of all ages and members of LGBTIQA+ communities. We want to ensure the fund reflects the breadth of voices and stories that make up the ACT.
