ABC hit series Stuff the British Stole returns — with a strong Canberra connection

The popular ABC series Stuff the British Stole is back for Season 3 on Tuesday, 9 June — and this time, Canberra has a behind-the-scenes role to celebrate. While host Marc Fennell travels the world uncovering fascinating museum mysteries, part of the show’s post-production was completed right here in the ACT.

Screen Canberra and the ACT Government supported the new season through the pilot year of the Canberra Screen and Games Fund — another sign that local creatives are making their mark on productions with global reach.

“Through the Canberra Screen and Games Fund, we’re not just backing great stories — we’re investing in the long-term future of filmmaking here in the capital,” said Holly Trueman, Screen Canberra.

The season also has a strong sustainability story. As a flagship project for Sustainable Screens Australia (SSA), Screen Canberra and the production team partnered with Netflix and Screen Australia to trial greener production practices — showing that world-class television can be made with a lighter environmental footprint.
